Job Skills / Requirements
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Enforcing client and company policies and procedures- to include client's strict access control policy.
? Interacting with a variety of persons including clients, visitors, governmental & public safety officials", employees, and the general public.
? Providing building and premises security to the client's property.
? Making patrols and security checks.
? Providing effective gate, access and exit controls to ensure compliance with the client's instituted badge control or pass control system.
? Regulating and directing traffic, as necessary.
? Responding to emergency situations and building conditions.
? Maintaining CPR and First Aid Certification to enhance capability to respond to emergencies (Note: Not a "first responder.")
? Dealing with people in a respectful and courteous manner.
? Being alert to observe, correct and report fire and safety hazards.
? Promoting safety to prevent accidents.
? Furthering employee-management relati9ns, goodwill and public relations.
? Making routine and special reports to supervisors.
? Gathering information and completing necessary forms and reports in accordance with Post Orders.
? Enforcing rules and policies that have been established for the protection of client facilities.
? Using client-provided equipment (vehicles, computers, phones, copy machines, etc.) properly, safely, and in
accordance with Post Orders.
? Good vision and good hearing acuity (with glasses and hearing aids, if necessary).
? Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) in the English language.
? Physical exertion including; but not limited to, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, standing for extended periods, sitting, walking and walking up and down stairs. Must be able to move and/or carry objects and materials. Must be able to lift and/or move objects and materials up to 30 pounds.
? Ability to use computer, including keyboard dexterity.
