Second Order Effects (SOE) is a California based engineering firm specializing in custom electronics and end-to-end electronic system design. At SOE, we design and build electric actuators, power electronics, flight control systems, wired and wireless communications systems, antennas, optical sensors, lasers, video cameras, software drivers, and sensors.
Second Order Effects focuses on prototype and first builds of projects ranging from consumer goods to aerospace systems. We produce cross disciplined solutions for some of the world’s hardest problems. Each SOE engineer making significant contributions to a wide variety of projects.
What We’re Looking for:
Second Order Effects seeks a self-starting Associate Electrical Engineer who enjoys full project ownership and design freedom. Our engineers start a project from initial customer concepts, design a system into a clear engagement, and see the design through to implementation.
SOE wants an engineer who is unafraid of exposure to a wide variety of problems and tasks. The solution and execution of SOE projects often need to be learnt and/or invented on the spot. The ideal candidate has a “no holds barred” attitude to problem solving and project execution. SOE wants someone who can work in small teams for large goals and is not intimidated by a big challenge.
