Sr. Director, Business Application Management
The Sr. Director, Business Application Management is responsible for leading a team of IT analysts to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services and solutions. This position will provide the vision and strategy for effective deployment and maintenance of applications across the organization, performing assessments, implementations and production support for Seattle Genetics' systems portfolio. This individual will collaborate with business partners and leadership across the organization to strategically assess business priorities and manage resource capacity to ensure the delivery of a high level of end user satisfaction. This role is also responsible for maturing internal practices to provide reproducible and efficient processes for managing applications and application suites.
The Sr. Director, Business Application Management will provide thought leadership, promoting efficient system architectures and providing effective production support across the organization at a time when significant change is taking place, organizationally and strategically. As a member of the IT Centers of Excellence leadership team, this individual will bring business and system analysis specific expertise as well as overall leadership skills in support of the wider IT organization.
The Sr. Director, Business Application Management will lead a highly capable team of analysts, introducing innovative system related processes that can impact results, improve efficiency, and deliver solutions while creating value and opportunity. The right candidate must be able to drive the successful delivery of project objectives by ensuring effective stakeholder management, alignment and business engagement, and provide guidance to staff and business leaders to meet objectives, resolve issues, and optimize opportunities. As such, a critical aspect of this role is the ability to coordinate the input of other stakeholders while delivering creative and pragmatic business solutions.
+ Provide leadership to build, direct, develop and retain a high performing team of IT Analysts
+ Lead enterprise-wide system and application assessments, implementations and production support for Seattle Genetics' system portfolio
+ Strategically optimize system support structures and resource capacity planning to ensure the delivery of a high level of end user satisfaction through quality IT services and solutions
+ Partner with leaders across the organization promoting strong communication, alignment and business engagement to effectively deliver and drive value from existing and new technology solutions
+ Oversight of the portfolio of Enterprise/Business Applications including ensuring the effective implementation of new technologies to address business initiatives and priorities, including the effective transition to ongoing support and effective management of resources to support associated projects and service roadmaps
+ Represent Seattle Genetics to external and 3rd party vendors for system related projects, managed services, license agreements and relationship oversight
+ Establish and support best practices for business and system analysis activities, including regulatory compliance standards such as CFR, GxP, ICH and SOX
+ 12+ years (preferable) experience performing IT Business/Systems analysis, preferably in a Biotech/Pharmaceutical environment
+ Strong knowledge of IT practices, methodologies, solutions, processes and approach
+ Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and develop staff
+ Strong working knowledge across all key business functions, including Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Supply Chain and Research
+ Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance including SOX, GxP, ICH, and GDPR
+ Proven track record managing 3rd party vendors for system implementation and support
+ Strategic thinker. Ability to manage multiple goals and deadlines
+ Ability to transform the ideas of management and implement appropriate solutions
+ Excellent communication skills. Ability to build strong network and relationships at all levels of the organization, collaborating with business and technically focused audiences
+ Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a high degree of self-motivation
+ Experience establishing effective partnerships within and outside the organization; maintains productive and positive interpersonal relationships
+ Ability to mentor, coach and effectively transfer expertise to others
+ Bachelor's Degree
