Audio Visual Technician

TheAudio Visual Technician), in conjunction with senior management, contributes to the creation of entertainment product based on strategic plans, operational processes, and financial targets.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates as an integral contributor to the Entertainment Services Department.
Performs daily and preventive maintenance of all show, ride, park sound & audio / video systems.
Learn, operate, troubleshoot, and repair park-wide A/V systems that support: all Core Shows, Howl-O-Scream, Food and Wine, Christmas Town, Water Country USA, park sound, games, security, video projection, and ride-related A/V systems.
Supports installation of A/V systems for park opening, strategic events (Food and Wine, BierFest, HOS, and Christmas Town), marketing functions / events, and Water Country USA installations to include: rack builds, cable runs, connectivity, and testing.
Maintains A/V Equipment. To include repairs of cables, speakers, amplifiers. and PM's of A/V equipment and Ride / Show related A/V systems as needed.
Edits audio and video recordings as needed.
Follows project timelines to ensure park and departmental goals & safety targets and objectives are obtained.
Follows department and park safety guidelines.
Participates in Technical Services Department training programs.
Participates in other duties as assigned that support park and departmental goals and objectives.
Proven Technical skills: To include repairs, soldering, troubleshooting and A/V system knowledge.
Proficient with A/V test equipment and measurements, A/V connectors / connectivity. Strong Video
and Audio related editing software skills. Strong communication skills, positive attitude, team player, good negotiation abilities, collaboration skills and problem solving skills. Experience with A/V system installs, cable pulls, and repairs of speakers / cables / microphones.
Candidates with the following qualifications will be considered:
High School, Trade School, College, Multi Media, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
2 years professional technical related experience preferred.
2 years of hands-on electronics, audio, video projection / editing, soldering, computer repairs, troubleshooting, pneumatics, and mechanical experience preferred.
Experience with the following required:
o Projectors, servers, and switchers
o Various types of A/V test and measurement equipment, testing procedures.
o Various types of A/V related connectors / and connectivity of these connectors.
o Ability to solder, understand A/V related soldering techniques.
o A/V System Installations, to include wiring of equipment racks.
o Repairs of speakers, cables, microphones, connectors.
Experience with video editing software, audio editing software preferred.
Experience operating heavy equipment including forklifts, scissor and boom lifts preferred.
Ability to work at heights to over 100' required.
Ability to lift and move 75 lbs. required.
Ability to perform outdoor work in temperature extremes required.
Valid driver's license required.
