Business Analyst - Machine Performance
The Machine Performance Business Analyst role is responsible for monitoring and evaluating machine and equipment performance used in, and to support manufacturing operations. The analysis will be used by the client to drive improvements to the reliability performance of its manufacturing equipment and machinery. The position requires the successful candidate to engage across all client maintenance and operations departments, project teams, analyze information, and capture business documentation that clearly articulates project performance data to business area experts. In addition, the position will help drive the design of new and/or reengineered processes in the equipment and machinery Planned Maintenance operations.

The Machine Performance Business Analyst role is responsible for monitoring and evaluating machine and equipment performance used in, and to support manufacturing operations. The analysis will be used by the client to drive improvements to the reliability performance of its manufacturing equipment and machinery. The position requires the successful candidate to engage across all client maintenance and operations departments, project teams, analyze information, and capture business documentation that clearly articulates project performance data to business area experts. In addition, the position will help drive the design of new and/or reengineered processes in the equipment and machinery Planned Maintenance operations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support project teams by:
- Establishing baseline performance metrics for equipment and machines
- Monitoring and analyzing variances to baseline performance and targets
- Assisting project lead with reporting efforts to include development of key operational reports to drive decision-making ability
- Provide guidance and help promote the enhancement of the machine maintenance programs
- Liaise with stakeholders to generate lessons learned for continuous improvement
- Help develop both short-term efficiency targets for the business and evolve long-term approach to delivering work efficiently and optimize cost of service
- Partner with operations/business teams to develop and implement KPI's, automated reporting/process solutions, and process improvements to meet business needs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or relevant work experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an analytics project-oriented environment. College or Intern experience accepted
- Aviation industry experience preferred
- Self-driven, agile learner with ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data
- Advanced ability to draw insights from analysis supported by data and clearly communicate them to both business and technical teams as well as senior management when required
- Ability to facilitate and coordinate effectively across multiple teams
- Exceptional situational analysis, decision making, and critical thinking abilities
- Knowledge in gathering and documenting stakeholder requirements desirable
- Strong proficiency with Excel, Smartsheet, Net Suite (ERP tools), and SharePoint desirable
