Special Education Teacher - Resource - 15 Students

One of our partner schools has an opening for a special education Teacher in a Resource classroom. The students are 5th and 6th graders. The total caseload size is 15.  You will have the critical support from a compliance perspective at both the district and campus level.

A successful Special Education Teacher will:

• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE)

• Identify the needs of assigned students through formal and informal assessments

• Collaborate with general education teachers to utilize appropriate methods of learning delivery and instruction to meet the needs of each student

• Prepare timely progress reports for each student

• Maintain regular communication with parents by means of email, phone calls, conferences, and progress reports

You’ll need to provide the following education & licensing requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (required)

• AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

• AZ Department of Education Special Education certification
