As a commission based Sales Representative, you will play a vital role in driving revenue growth by connecting businesses with our highly engaged readership and providing effective advertising solutions.
Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and establishing relationships with potential advertisers.
- Conduct thorough market research to understand client needs and industry trends, positioning Scissortail Magazine as the go-to advertising platform.
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Actively network and participate in industry events to expand your professional network and generate leads.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as their primary point of contact.
- Understand clients’ advertising goals and objectives, providing tailored solutions to maximize their reach and impact.
- Proactively communicate with clients to ensure their satisfaction, address any concerns, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Advertising Solution Consultation:
- Utilize your in-depth knowledge of Scissortail Magazine’s readership, content, and advertising options to consult and advise clients on the most effective advertising strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the editorial and design teams to develop customized advertising proposals that align with clients’ objectives.
- Present proposals to clients in a persuasive and compelling manner, showcasing the value and benefits of advertising with Scissortail Magazine.
Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions in the CRM system.
- Prepare regular sales reports, providing insights on performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Continuously analyze market conditions, competitor activities, and client feedback to adapt sales strategies and optimize results.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of success in advertising sales or a related field.
- Strong understanding of advertising and marketing principles and trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Knowledge of the local Tulsa market and connections within the advertising community is a plus.
