Job Description

SSCI is looking to fill an Senior Space Flight Software Engineer position for software projects relating to autonomous space systems.

Requirements

6+ years’ experience in R&D of Space/Robotics/Autonomous Systems Software.
Proficiency with IDE-based object-oriented programming in C/C++ in Linux environment, and either Python or Matlab
Experience with space systems
Experience with Fault Detection / FDIR (Fault detection, isolation, and recovery) / FDC (Fault Detection & Correction)
Experience with Aerospace algorithms, such as coordinate frame transforms, orbit propagation
Experience successfully leading and delivering Flight Software for space systems and/or Autonomous Unmanned Systems
Experience with Software-in-the-loop, PITL, and / or HITL flatsat testing
Basic understanding of orbital dynamics, multiple orbit regimes

Desired Skills

Experience with Spacecraft GNC / ADCS / AOCS
Experience with spacecraft sensor integration
Experience with developing and testing embedded software for SmallSats / CubeSats, satellite mission planning, and ground systems
