Quality Analyst II
The Software Quality Assurance Analyst II is an essential part of a team of Technology professionals that helps School Specialty grow by improving technology, process and ensuring effective use of applications and systems. Our QA II will be responsible for working with the development team and other members of our Software Quality Assurance team to ensure high quality delivery of internally developed and/or vendor-developed software. The individual will have knowledge of the application development processes and QA strategies across all the enterprise systems. The Quality Analyst II position is responsible for mentoring Quality Analyst I and continuing to grow the foundation of testing. The Quality Analyst II will be reporting to the Manager, IT Quality Assurance.
The base salary range for this role is $51-73K Annually

Quality Analyst II

Summary of Primary Responsibilities
- Work as part of multiple agile teams building trust with the business to achieve organizational, business owner, and process owner goals.
- Collaborate with project and peer teams to drive testing procedures on projects through story creation, review, and grooming.
- Recommend testing practices and approaches that best fit the needs of the project and support the goals of the organization.
- Develop, execute, and interpret test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test data for different types of testing activities such as System, Regression, QA, DR/BCP, and Performance.
- Manage onshore and offshore testing teams, making sure the teams are accountable for deliverables and time commitments.
- Mentor team members, specifically Quality Analyst I team members.
- Assess readiness of projects / processes based on test metrics.
- Make recommendations based on industry research for automation, emerging tools, trends and methodologies to enhance testing effort.
- Provide production systems support by researching, documenting, and resolving system related problems and by fielding Business User questions.
- Ensure documentation is aligned with the SDLC and quality assurance standards are followed.
- Develop new and update existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on testing activities.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two years quality analyst experience related to the development and execution of test cases and analysis of testing results.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work and communicate with a variety of personalities, across locations and varying organizational levels.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at one time and effectively work under pressure.

- Hold yourself and the team accountable, meeting commitments as a team and as an individual.
- Must collaborate with others in both team settings and across the organizations.
- Experience with test automation using one or more of the industry standard Automation Tools
- Strong analytical skills and deep understanding of tools such as MS Office.
- Use effective communication techniques to gather requirements from product and business owners as well as conveying requirements to team members.
- Document technical and business processes for support team members.
- Demonstrate a strong desire to learn new tools, techniques, and processes.
