This position is typically held by someone who has industry experience and/or college graduate. The individual's experience may come from time spent as a Systems Engineer I or time spent as a control technician. This position is responsible for providing high quality point to point check out. The individual should be team oriented and able to be collaborative when working on a team to install projects. At least 3-5 years of related experience. Works under direct supervision of a Project Manager or Construction Manager.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  1. Review specifications and drawings
  2. Participate in field startup using standard start up and checkout processes
  3. Supports/assists project engineer in the installation of the assigned projects
  4. Able to solve problems and come up with solutions.
  5. Can train and mentor lower-level field technicians
  6. Point checkout, end device set up, and setup of software point configuration to match device setup. Confirm proper installation of all devices.
  7. Able to read and interpret blueprints - Cross reference all project documents
  8. Maintains and closes outs CX documents regarding thoroughness, accuracy, completeness – PTP sheets, PVT, FPT.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline
  • 3+ years’ experience in an engineering or technical role
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to meet access requirements for federal sites
