Unique Opportunity to enter the financial advisory industry. We are a local, growing financial advisory firm that has made a market by offering investment advice through existing CPA relationships. Plenty of opportunity to grow with a small, but very established firm. We are headquartered in LaPlace, LA and also have offices in Baton Rouge and Metairie. We are looking for the right person to come in as an entry level financial advisor to work mainly between the LaPlace and Metairie locations. We have our own robust book of business and want to bring someone in on the ground level to learn how to become an effective financial advisor. No cold calls needed.
There will be some securities licensing requirements which the candidate will need to achieve, however we provide the training and funding to accomplish this goal.
The primary purpose of the Financial Advisor I position is to support the financial planning process through research, development of client plans and client relationship management. The Financial Advisor I may also assist with general office operations.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Review and analyze investment portfolios, variable, fixed and indexed annuities and insurance policies and making recommendation of products for clients as suitable.
Rebalancing of and trading in of client portfolio as needed and directed by the lead advisor in Trade Management Tool.
Under the direction of the lead advisor, create and monitor investment portfolio models and update when needed.
Communicate with clients providing services in account management, technical support, and problem solving.
Implementation of trading of securities as directed by lead advisor.
Acquire and demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to securities, regulations, investments and investment products, securities markets, and financial planning.
Maintain Vest360 database, document notes for activities performed.
Maintain and monitor follow-up systems through Vest360 tasks for pending client issues.
Carry out and provide research and analysis to the lead advisor in a detailed, consistent, and timely fashion. Consistently verify quality and accuracy of work.
Prepare correspondence, spreadsheets and presentation materials for client meetings and communications.
Prepare for client meetings for lead advisor and anticipate needs in advance of meetings.
Take notes during client meetings, complete and monitor all follow up items from those meetings.
Attend training and demonstrate knowledge and skills to identify current trends that enhance team members and the organization; eMoney, Envestnet, Wealthscape, Morningstar, etc.
Training and/or delegating tasks to other support positions.
Other duties as assigned.
