JOB SUMMARY a" STAFFING COORDINATORThe Staffing Coordinator (aSchedulera ) is responsible for managing schedules and shift vacancies due to call-ins, scheduled vacations and other issues as they arise. The Scheduler may also need to fill a vacancy on the floor when necessary. In addition, the Scheduler manages the attendance monitoring system and performs maintenance on employee records to correct forgotten/missed punches, expunges and occurrence point issues.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR THE STAFFING COORDINATOR Ensures that all shifts are covered based on schedule/census and call-ins/scheduled vacations, etc.
Corrects missed punches, errors, expunges occurrence points when necessary. Reviews, corrects, and approves bi-weekly nursing payroll ensuring that the submission is accurate. Monitors requests for time off and approves/denies based on coverage and paid time off available.
Alerts DON if an employee reaches a warning level within the attendance policy. Manages... requests for transfers of work location/shifts along with nurse management to ensure all units are appropriately staffed.
Schedules transportation arrangements for residents as notified by nursing, to include arranging for the resident to be accompanied by a SRNA. Schedules agency personnel for temporary assignments to ensure adequate coverage on the units. Interview Nursing Assistant students for hire at the facility.
Performs Drug Screens as needed/requested. Comply with state and federal regulations and with HIPAA Security Policies and Procedures. Performs other tasks as assigned.SKILLS & ABILITIES FOR THE STAFFING COORDINATOR Knowledge of ADP processes and procedures.
Skilled in computer use including Microsoft Office products, such as Word and Excel. Ability to communicate effectively with staff and management, and at all levels of the organization. Ability to work with a culturally diverse resident and employee population.EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION FOR THE STAFFING COORDINATOR Prior experience in a long-term care environment and/or scheduler position.
3 years preferred. Kentucky State Registered Nurse Aide Certification. High School Diploma or GED required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE STAFFING COORDINATOR JOB Frequently communicates with employees and residents.
Occasionally lifts objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequently remains in a sitting position. Frequently stoops, kneels, or bends when assisting residents and co-workers with resident needs.
Must be able to use all body limbs up to 100 percent capacity. Frequently works in a well-lit, tempered room.PI136219315
