In addition to maintaining a high level of trust, integrity and ethical standards, all employees are also expected to promote a culture of safety by following all safety procedures, protocols and guidelines while working in a manner that minimizes the risk of damage to property and injury to the employee and others.POSITION EXPECTATIONSAs a key member of the Supply Chain team, this position will report directly to the VP of Supply Chain and will be responsible for reviewing supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvements, and value enhancement opportunities.

This team member will work closely with cross functional team members, conducting supplier reviews to assess quality and ensure all products are free from defects and in compliance with engineering and manufacturing specifications. He/she will participate in all new product development and sustaining activities to maximize efficiency and reduce product failures across current and developing product lines. It will be necessary for the team member to use traditional research & problem-solving methods focused on collaboration that ensures repeatability and sustainability to SawStop's quality standards.

This position will require minimal supervision with a high-level of independent work. This team member will influence and provide guidance to the members of our international quality team through demonstrated competency in the use of Six-Sigma principles, methods and tools. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPartner with engineering (Electrical, Design and Manufacturing) team to define process parameters to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet requirementsEnsure inspection specifications are applied and adhered to by our suppliersAccountable for ensuring the robustness of root cause analysis and problem solving, utilizing quality measurement processes & toolsCollaborate with suppliers to ensure that engineering product test plans are applied and adhered toAbility to analyze suppliers manufacturing processes against engineering requirements, identify gaps and drive improvementsProvide technical guidance and assistance to our suppliers on SawStop productsConduct onsite manufacturing process evaluations and in-process auditingProvide statistical analysis by regularly assessing and analyzing supplier data with internal metrics/goalsMaintain proper documentation and reportingCommunicate between suppliers and senior managementPartner with engineering to ensure documentation & drawings are accurate and applicableEvaluate and help qualify new manufacturing partnersPartner with our customer service team regarding manufacturing defects found in the fieldWork both individually and on a teamDomestic & international travel, as requiredKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ATTRIBUTESBachelor of Science degree in engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical or Industrial) preferred5+ years of related industry experienceDemonstrates a high degree of competency to capture important data, analyze data and report appropriate conclusionsAbility to effectively and efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasksDemonstrates thorough understanding of engineering specifications, mechanical drawings, and/or electrical schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD)Good understanding of consumer product design processes and quality assurance requirements and quality planning toolsKnowledge of six sigma (Lean and black belt) principles and toolsAbility to apply tools and principles into daily workStrong problem-solving skills and accountability to drive issues to closureCapable of writing and critiquing product inspection criteriaEffective written and verbal communication skills including presentationsDemonstrated ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional teamsAbility to drive and implement activities to meet customer quality expectations.

Build strong relationships at various levels/functions within the organization and with our suppliersQuality equipment experience (CMM, jigs, calipers, gages, etc.)Software experience with CAD, Sage, SAPSolid interpersonal skills to effectively work with various levels within the organization
