Forklift Operator, 2nd shift, starting at $21.50/hr + $2.50 shift diff

Savencia Cheese USA LLC is a premier producer of specialty cheeses and maker of the Alouette, Chavrie, Ile De France and Supreme brands.

Our Forklift Operator operates high reach standup forklift, pallet jack and electric hand truck equipment to collect or deliver materials, parts or products in or between departments, buildings and trucks. The hours for the position are Monday - Friday, 2 pm - 10:30 pm, with overtime and weekends as required.

Pay is $21.50 per hour and up. Starting pay is commensurate with experience and education. Our employees are eligible for yearly bonuses, yearly increases, and $2.50 differential for 2nd shift.

Essential Duties of our Forklift Operator

• Picks product and records appropriate information on pick ticket in a refrigerated warehouse.
• Places finished goods into proper rack locations or blast cells.
• Completes orders and identifies properly. Records product by label, lot code and slotting location on product transfer sheets.
• Stages completed orders. Stacks product onto pallets using proper pallet patterns.
• Loads orders on trailers. Rotates stock and keeps accurate inventory. Unloads all finished goods transferring into warehouse from trailers.
• Picks and transfers product to and from racking for project room.
• Inventories and consolidates product as needed.
• Maintains clean work area and equipment.
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to supervisor.
• Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.

Skills & Requirements
Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of relevant job experience
• Willingness to get Forklift certified; stand-up forklift experience preferred
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to continuously work in a refrigerated environment
• Pull/pull/lift up to 70 lbs.
