Job Description

Saturna Capital, an investment management and brokerage firm, is seeking candidates for a full-time Regional Sales Manager position. The Regional Sales Manager will report to Saturna’s National Sales Manager.

Position Purpose:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for generating sales of Saturna Capital-affiliated mutual funds by marketing to the American Muslim Community, providing financial planning, and offering separate accounts.

Job Duties:

  • Manage territory and generate sales to meet objectives;
  • Identify prospects and establish new relationships with advisors;
  • Determine key relationships and develop a plan to increase client AUM;
  • Cross-sell Saturna services including retirement plans and trust services;
  • Attend multiple weekend conferences throughout the year;
  • Present technical product knowledge in an innovative way;
  • Data-mine and report through Salesforce;
  • Follow company policies regarding industry rules and regulations for securities and investment products.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree;
  • Sales background required – preferably in mutual funds, separate accounts, or other financial industry products;
  • Thorough understanding of values-based and sustainable investing strategies and products;
  • FINRA SIE Exam, Series 7 and 66 licenses; existing holder of licenses, or pass within six months of employment;
  • Must be available for extensive travel and weekend work;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent presentation skills and closing skills;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Passing grade on pre-employment logic test;
  • A strong work ethic and personal values consistent with Saturna's Core Values;
  • The ideal candidate must have access to a major airport and be able to work from the West Coast.

Preferred Experience and Education:

  • A working knowledge of all Saturna products and mutual funds.
  • Familiarity with Apple technology products.
  • Speak Arabic and/or Urdu.
  • Strong logic skills.

Work Environment:

  • This job operates in a home office environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand or sit in a stationary position 80% of the time.
  • This position requires constant verbal and written communication with potential clients, clients, co-worker. Must be able to exchange constant accurate information.

Non-Physical Demands:

  • Frequently requires performing multiple tasks simultaneously, working closely with others as part of a team, and tedious or exacting work.
  • Frequently requires time pressures and frequent change of tasks. Occasionally requires irregular schedule/overtime and noisy/distracting environment.

Travel Requirements:

  • 50% plus
