CEO WANTED FOR REGIONAL ACCOUNTING FIRM
We are actively searching for a high-energy CEO for a regional accounting firm based in the Mid-Atlantic Region of the United States. This is a new position; the owner of the firm has acted as the CEO since the founding of the company over 25 years ago. He now wishes to remove himself from the day-to-day operations of the company in order to allocate time to his other business interests, and is looking for a very specific type of candidate for the CEO position.
The firm currently has approximately 50 employees, including 7 CPAs, 5 EAs, accountants of different skill levels, sales and support people, and offers tax, accounting, payroll and business consulting services nationwide. However, activities focused in Virginia, Maryland, and DC. The corporate headquarters are in Manassas, located 30 minutes from DC. You will report to the owner and you are expected to be self-directed and need little guidance after an initial break-in period.
As noted above, we are searching for candidates with an unusual combination of skill and experience. Our ideal CEO candidate will check all of these boxes, at a minimum:
10+ years successfully managing 50+ people (including managerial staff) at multiple sites
10+ years of successfully managing operations
10+ years of successful P&L responsibility
Excellent personal sales ability
Skilled in managing sales and marketing personnel and processes
Skilled in overall process and quality control
Great team player with strong leadership skills
Strategic planning experience
Comfortable working in a multicultural environment – employees and clients
We would also prefer:
CPA and/or MBA
10+ years work experience in accounting and taxes
