Regional Sales Director, In-Store Bakery, Central Region

The Regional Sales Director will manage the Central region for all ISB accounts including traditional retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and mass merchandisers including Walmart. The Central region includes the Upper Midwest, Midwest, Chicago, Southern and Southeastern markets. Effectively manage a broker sales organization. Utilize a customer-centric approach to increase product penetration within existing accounts and to secure new customers. Build relationships with customers at multiple levels including category management, merchandising, and logistics departments.
• Customer Management
o Develop strong relationships at multiple levels within the account to maximize sales potential
o Develop account plans that focus on both short-term objectives and strategic alignment
o Take an active role in customizing sales presentations and tailoring them to specific customer opportunities. Prepare detailed business reviews to share performance and to align to customer’s goals.
• Broker Management
o Manage brokers and their performance at account level
o Set annual objectives and establish tracking of all activities
o Ability to Forecast sales by account by SKU (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually)
o Analyze pricing and programs by customer to ensure maximum volume and profit delivery
o Analyze shipment report performance and understand daily/weekly/monthly data
o Constant and ongoing evaluation of market trends and competitive activities to ensure superior positioning with customers
o Conduct regular market visits to review store conditions based on expected activity, assess competitive activity, and identify new product opportunities for growth
• BA/BS Degree
• 5-10 years of prior ISB sales experience is required
• Strong communication skills
• Strong financial and forecasting skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of sales, trade, and category management as well as proven ability to apply them effectively in planning and execution
• Ability to use multiple information sources to develop sales strategies and tactics as well as effectively manage promotional activity and trade spending
• Ability to travel 50-75%
