Job Title: Psychiatric Services in Dutchess and Orange Counties
Based at: New York
Job Summary:
FARGOV is currently seeking a Board Certified or eligible Psychiatrist, or a certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.to work in New York, USAand perform his/her duties in such an effective manner.
Duties
- Provide on-site psychiatric care and consultative services for Individuals with developmental disabilities unless deemed appropriate by the provider, OPWDD, and/or Individual that a tele-health visit is more suitable at the time.
- Evaluate patients and advise psychiatric treatment.
- Provide psychiatric assessments based on observations and interactions with the Individuals, and written reports furnished from various sources or from the people accompanying the Individual, whenever possible.
- Ensure the products of each evaluation and assessment are clear and concise and convey all pertinent information in a thorough and complete manner.
- Participate in the development of treatment plans and case management with medical personnel and the interdisciplinary team. Treatment Providers must work closely with Medical Director or designee, treatment team, family, and other providers.
- Incorporate all information, notes, reports, and forms utilized in or generated during the evaluations and assessments into the Individual's clinical record
- Time spent in sessions and off-session time preparing notes, reports, and other efforts are to be documented and denoted separately in a Service Log.
- Treatment Provider is responsible to directly order labs for Clozapine use and upload results to respective pharmacy.
- Provide in-service programs to increase the knowledge of staff providing care and treatment and attend any specified training that is deemed necessary.
Requirements
- The Treatment Provider must be duly qualified and licensed to practice in the State of New York.
- The Treatment Provider must be a Board Certified or eligible Psychiatrist, or a certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
- The Treatment Provider must be experienced in providing Adult Psychiatric Services and have at least two years' experience in serving people with developmental disabilities
- The Treatment Provider must not be on any state or federal list of individuals prohibited from submitting a Medicaid Claim.
