Job Description

Samsung SDS, is rapidly expanding our footprint in North America and is looking for a self-motivated technical support engineer responsible for the support and delivery of applications in our mobile and B2B solutions portfolio. Your primary focus will be technical and engineering-level support of Samsung SDS America mobile and platform applications and also the implementation and delivery of Samsung SDS America software to end customers. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers delivering and supporting on different layers of the customers infrastructures. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

  • Work independently to consult, implement, and support a wide variety of technical solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and time/project management skills are required.
  • Resolve various server, endpoint and network level issues
  • Communicate effectively with customers, keeping them informed on the progress of their service requests and notifying them of impending changes or outages.
  • This role is also responsible for the upkeep, configuration and reliable operation an IT Service Management and ticketing system to monitor and track customer support and feature requests.
  • Working closely with remote development teams, Solutions Architects, Technical Leads, and Leadership.
  • Support B2B Business Unit in Samsung SDS America in support and delivery of of mobile and SaaS platform applications.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, innovation and collaboration.


  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • 5+ years providing technical and/or engineering support for endpoint and server level operating systems and/or applications, and managing multiple clients
  • Knowledge and experience with virtual environments (AWS, Azure, VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Experience with installation, configuration and support of advanced network routing and troubleshooting, DNS Server
  • Knowledge of PKI and certificate-based authentication
  • Solid understanding of TCP /IP networking, subnets and routing
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL server
  • Knowledge of US Government security standards (ex. FIPS, NIAP, STIG)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and make decisions
  • Microsoft Server 2012 or newer experience a plus
  • Android experience is a plus
  • Samsung Knox and Enterprise Mobility Management experience is a plus
  • Linux knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with PowerShell
  • Working knowledge of firewall technologies
