Here's what you can expect as the Regional Sales Consultant, Sammons Independent Annuity Group
Drive sales growth from appointed Midland National Life annuity agents within assigned region by making outbound phone calls to encourage agents to place annuity business with the Midland National. Working with all agents within assigned region- with a focus on base agents, non-producers, new agents and recruits. Proactively and strategically reaching out to annuity producers to promote the Midland product portfolio, value proposition and agent programs - primary objective is to increase annuity sales in assigned region according to sales growth goal.
+ Make proactive outbound calls to agents regarding product education, increasing product awareness, and promoting the Midland value proposition and agent programs - primary objective is to increase sales in assigned region according to sales growth goal.
+ Utilize sales development skills to identify and rank agents with potential for placing and growing business with Midland National Annuity Division. Determine priority of contacting the various groups of agents and focus time on agents with the greatest potential for increased sales.
+ Establish and cultivate sales from Midland non-producing agents through regular contact - including making outbound calls and promoting the Midland value proposition and product offerings.
+ Responsible for actively recruiting new agents in assigned region - including focused and consistent follow-up on all recruit leads including agent referrals, recruiting lists, agent direct inquiries and Bank/Broker Dealer leads.
+ Responsible for strategically identified group of agents within the region by incrementally increasing number of cases written.
+ As a result of outbound calling efforts, responsible for taking incoming calls from agents as needed/requested to increase sales.
+ Work with agents in the region to deliver on a variety of agent needs - including development of annuity case design, product selection consultation, and product information (including competitive positioning). Capitalize on opportunities to persuade producers of product competitiveness and company strength.
+ Maintain strong knowledge of Midland National annuity portfolio and competitive position in order to most effectively promote our products and increase sales.
+ Keep management informed of market changes, trends and other strategic information that could have a meaningful impact to sales objectives.
+ Actively participate in meetings and offer information with individual and agent feedback on our products, marketing campaigns, incentives and training programs.

+ Bachelor's Degree preferred
+ Minimum 5 years' relevant work experience
+ Background in the fixed annuity (insurance) industry (preferably annuity sales and marketing experience)
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills - including strong telephone experience
+ Complete knowledge of the sales process
+ Ability to develop rapport with and influence independent annuity producers
+ Disciplined and self-motivated: ability to proactively address sales/marketing needs and identify solutions when needed
+ Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work effectively in a goal-centered environment
+ Must be motivated to expand industry specific knowledge
+ Must be able to handle a changing work and business climate
+ Good interpersonal skills, including effective relational skills, strong initiative, and high level of energy
