Clinical Supervisor- Rockland Outpatient
Monday- Thursday 8AM- 1PM
The Clinical Supervisor will provide clinical and administrative supervision to clinical staff and interns and provide direct clinical services to clients with identified substance and/or mental health needs. In addition, this position is responsible for managing and monitoring day-to-day clinical operations and service delivery and participates in activities to monitor the quality and appropriateness of program services
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides clinical supervision to clinicians and interns. Continuously assess learning needs of supervisee; develop and implement learning objectives and supervision plan; complete performance reviews as required.
- Ensures the maintenance and monitoring of accurate, complete and timely client treatment records by staff that complies with regulatory requirements and agency internal policy and procedure. Including proper completion of billing paperwork.
- Provide direct clinical services to individuals, families and/or groups. Complete all clinical documentation within expected timeframes and in compliance with organization policies. Documentation must meet quality standards established by regulatory bodies and the agency.
- Collects and input information in the OASAS system (ie - annual Opioid Updates)
- Audits records weekly to ensure compliance and adherence to the Joint Commission and OASAS guidelines.
- Provides regularly scheduled clinical and administrative supervision to assigned staff
- Helps identify staff's training needs and, in response, plans, develops and/or conducts training towards maintaining and improving clinical staff competency and compliance with agency policy and procedure.
- Documents supervisory sessions with staff.
- Meets monthly productivity expectations.
- In collaboration with the Program Director conducts ongoing review of the clinical program design, suggest and implement recommendations for improvement.
- Ensures that all program staff upholds the agency's Code of Conduct/Code of Ethics and comply with all Federal, state and local law/regulation, including 42 CFR confidentiality and HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
- Networks and communicates with other departments as a member of the program's management team.
- Participates in quality improvement/other agency committees or work groups.
- Represents Samaritan DaytopVillage at community, public forums.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
- Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling.
OR
- Licensed as LMSW, LCSW, LMHC or other QHP such as MSW-Limited Permit and must obtain within 90 days of hire date and licensure within one year of hire date OR MHC-Limited Permit and must obtain within 90 days of hire date.
OR
- CASAC (Advanced or Master Level Counselor) certification
AND
- Clinical Supervision Foundations I & II (30 hours): Successful completion required by all Advanced and Master Level CASACs within one year of hire.
- At least two years of full-time clinical supervision experience in the last five years, providing regular face-to-face supervision for one or more QHPs who are primary counselors and carry a regular caseload of clients.
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatments, managed care principles, and behavior practices.
- Seminar in Field Instruction (SIFI), preferred.
- Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
License/Certification Required:
- CASAC (Advanced or Master Level Counselor) or Other QHP Credentials (LMSW-P/LMSW; MHP-P/LMHC; LCSW as defined in OASAS Part 800). Credentials required for the role is based on the clinical needs of the program.
Preferred Education, License/Certification, Experience and/or Skills:
- Knowledge of multi-disciplinary team.
- Knowledge of techniques for identifying and preventing potentially violent behavior, including crisis management techniques.
- Ability to develop, evaluate, implement and modify a clinical treatment intervention to meet the needs of individual participants.
- Competency in written, interpersonal, verbal and computational skills to present and document records in accordance with program standards.
- Knowledgeable about federal, state and local law and regulation governing substance abuse treatment programs such as OASAS, Joint Commission, and CSAT guidance.
- Ability to supervise, train and teach substance abuse providers/other clinical discipline providers.
