POSITION: Nurse Practitioner/NP and Physician™s Assistant/PA

Saltzer Health is currently looking for qualified Urgent Care NP/PAs and Providers to join our team and be part of improving our communitys health through patient centered care, innovation and transparency in a new and exciting Urgent Care Facility. Responsibilities and Duties
Perform medical histories and physical examinations; assesses patients medical/surgical conditions. Administer treatments in compliance with the approved protocols. Giving appropriate advice and counsel patients or legal guardian of patient problems, promoting healthy habits, and preventative actions to promote overall health. Prescribe medications and provide comprehensive instructions for administration. Order, review, and interpret all medical tests to obtain more information for underlying infections or abnormalities concerning patients. Remain up to date with advancements and best practices in medicine by attending conferences and seminars, and provider meetings. Ability to remain calm and confidently lead health care team during medical emergencies. Ensure assignment or directly assign specific tasks to health care team members in the event of a medical emergency. Direct the overall resuscitative effort Issues all medical and resuscitative orders including medications.
Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years' experience required.Comfortable working in a fast-paced Urgent Care environment.Ability to treat a mixed patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatric.Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines.Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patients condition.Participates in provider staff meetings to develop problem-solving techniques and acquire team-building skills.Participates in clinic quality initiatives as requested.Performs other duties as assigned. Great communication skills, both in person and over the phone.Forward thinking with an emphasis on innovation and patient-centered care.Values teamwork and being an integral part of the care team.Kind, courteous and considerate to patients and all staff.Excellent knowledge of infectious diseases, their symptoms and epidemiology.
Licenses/Certifications:License by the state of Idaho NP/PA - Federal DEA license and Idaho State Board of Pharmacy License. Certification of Nurse Practitioner must hold "Family" designationBLS, ACLS, PALS preferredGraduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.License by the State of Idaho NP/PAIdaho State Controlled Substance LicenseFederal DEA licenseIdaho State Board of Pharmacy LicenseCertification of Nurse Practitioner must hold Family designation

Education:Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
