Senior Sales Manager - Healthcare Sales

The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for managing national sales teams. This position is the direct interface between Sales Focus and our client. The PM takes a program from inception and guides it through launch. After launch, the PM continues to guide and direct the program via Field Sales Managers.

The PM is responsible for all growth within the program. The PM continually monitors business performance, as well as all processes and procedures to look for areas of enhancement and the development of best practices. The PM guides the sales managers and representatives by coaching, training, and providing direct instructions and assistance in new client acquisition and revenue growth.

The PM manages multiple teams of outside sales reps involved in B2B Sales in the Pharmacy space. He or she is responsible for maintaining a fully staffed teams at all times. The PM consistently conducts field training and ride-along with their Sales Managers and Representatives. They are also tasked with the daily production of and continual maintenance of all sales and sales related reporting including but not limited to activity reports, sales reports, pipeline reports, team forecasts, and more.

Job Responsibilities:

● Business Management

○ Keep program on track in alignment with client’s business objectives with a primary focus on driving transactions and achieving sales targets

○ Gather insights on top performers across teams and collaborate with Client to roll-out best practices on a quarterly basis

○ Oversee KPIs across teams to ensure reps are being held accountable for goals

○ Oversee quota creation and roll-out across teams

○ Maintain complete and accurate reporting of all sales and sales related activities

○ Serve as the territory’s point of contact for Human Resources, Staffing, and Operations

● Weekly operational meetings & ad hoc calls

○ Internal with SFI executives

○ Weekly calls with managers; keeping them on track with development plans for their teams, and helping to lead decision making around rep replacement needs

○ Weekly calls + ad hoc with Client reporting on manager performance, achievements, obstacles, and recommendations to push business forward

● Recruiting, Staffing, Training, and Development

○ Manage and maintain staffing levels while working with SFI recruiting and HR

○ Manage Toolkit Development and maintenance

○ Conduct field training for each of his or her Sales Managers on a continual basis

○ Identify training needs for both field Sales reps and Managers

○ Collaborate with Client on enablement needs

○ Ensure all updated collateral and strategy shifts are incorporated in training suite for new hires

○ Motivate sales teams to achieve all sales related goals

● Client Relations

○ Maintain 100% Client satisfaction

○ Interact with the client regularly to maintain accurate policies and procedures related to the sales environment

○ Manage and triage ad hoc issues that come up across teams acting as the first point of contact before issues escalate to client


● Proven track record of driving business results through effective sales management

● MUST have experience managing geographically-distributed sales teams, preferred experience in the Pharmacy space.

● Ability to assess Sales Managers/Representatives level of aptitude in all facets of the sales process

● Experience using data to drive optimizations across Sales teams

● Effectively train Sales Managers/Representatives in all aspects of the sales process

● High proficiency with CRMs, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

● Ability to conduct effective sales meetings

● Proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines & company goals

● Considerable skill in problem solving and Team Management
