Early Head Start Home Visitor
- $24 to $24 Hourly
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Home Based Coordinator will ensure fidelity to the home visiting curriculum, and supervise the home visit program option.
Work with the Manager and team to provide services to Early Head Start families and their communities. Assess family’s strengths and needs as part of a Family Partnership Agreement, and monitor their progress in meeting the agreement’s objectives and goals. Provide family intervention strategies that support families’ in achieving identified goals. The position will also work in partnership with other county-wide home visiting programs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BA Degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies/Social Services or related field required and previous home visiting experience preferred. Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies/Social Services or related field preferred. If an employee does not have a BA Degree in Early Childhood Education he/she is required to obtain and sustain an Home Visiting CDA within one year of hire. Must be willing and able to obtain Basic First Aid and CPR Certification and maintain certification. Acceptable tuberculosis and drug screening results, a clear criminal records check and an initial health exam are required post job offer and prior to employment. Current and former Head Start employees, students, and parents will receive preference for employment vacancies for which they are qualified. Must maintain any certification that employee was hired in with.
