Position Title: Returns & Reprocessing Supervisor

Department: Returns & Reprocessing

Reports To: Returns & Reprocessing, Manager

Hourly Rate: $18.00-21.00

 

Returns & Reprocessing, Supervisor Summary:

This position is responsible for supervision, scheduling and coordinating activities of the return's technicians and the reprocessing technicians to ensure accurate handling of all incoming and outgoing merchandise from customers, sales force and retail stores.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Accomplishes objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, apprising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures
  • Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, requiring preventive maintenance
  • Follows through on task ensuring the job is complete, tacks daily production; spot checks work to keep company standards
  • Tracks all inbound product returns for Smith product and works with Customer service on returns. Evaluates returns, coordinates the destruction of defective, damaged, over stocked merchandise and items shipped incorrectly; determining which merchandise can be re-stocked, refurbished
  • Communicates with customer services department, sales force and Retailers conceding their returns, and crediting accounts accordingly
  • Prioritize department procedures for efficient workflow, tracks daily production, spot checks work to keep company standards, and communicate priorities effectively with return technicians through written and oral instructions
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience supervising teams of 10-15 employees in a warehouse setting
  • Possesses excellent, Customer Service skills & can multi-task well
  • Bilingual (English Spanish) is required

• Exemplary communication skills

• Professional attitude and superior dispute resolution skills

• Dependability, reporting skills, Analyzing information and Organization

• Very strong experience with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Dealing with complexity, Deadline-orientated, time management.

• Ability to administer read and write English

• Ability to lift heavy packages if necessary

• Proficiency with automated systems

• Ability to do repetitive work with high rate of accuracy.

Education & Experience:

• High school Diploma or equivalent

• At least 2+ years’ experience in supervisory position in materials management

• Data Entry Management

• Inventory records/ Documentation

• Supervision and safety management
