In the role of Account Manager, which we refer to as Fractional Chief Information Officer (fCIO), you play an integral part in the success of both Safety Net and the clients you serve. You will be a trusted technical advisor to our clients' C-level executives and main IT points of contact.  A successful fCIO has the desire to understand what each client does, how they do it, and what role their technology plays. You will work closely with colleagues to deliver IT strategy, budgeting, and overall technology guidance. Building strong relationships is key. Fostering relationships will include meeting with your clients in an office environment, and outside the office; periodically taking these individuals out for lunches, dinners, and events. You may be invited to sit in on strategic planning sessions, attend board meetings, and participate in meetings with management. You will work with a team of technical professionals to develop and deliver solutions that satisfy the needs of your clients. You'll regularly connect with assigned accounts to review metrics, discuss recommendations, and initiate projects. As an fCIO with Safety Net, you will have a strong Leadership team to guide you and you will be given the tools needed to be successful.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Customer Satisfaction

  • Advocate for your clients while following our organization's processes and procedures
  • Be readily available for client interaction and assist them with any service delivery issues they may be experiencing

Technology Consulting 

  • Be available as a resource to answer client questions and requests for information about their IT

  • Consult with other Safety Net departments and research third-party solution providers as needed

  • Stay in tune with general IT marketplace changes, particularly in services areas that Safety Net delivers

Technology Planning and Budgeting

  • Work with Network Administration to complete ongoing assessments

  • Review deficiencies and translate them into business risks

  • Determine which should be goals for improvement

  • ​​​​​​​Work with Design Engineering to address deficiencies

  • Track and plan infrastructure lifecycle management in areas such as network equipment, servers, and end user devices

  • Review client's IT spending areas, including telecommunication expenses, internet access providers, and software subscriptions for appropriateness

Project Management

  • Communicate information regarding client-approved projects to project leaders

  • Stay in touch with project leaders regarding project status, and assist with resolution of business-level implementation issues

Special projects as assigned by leadership team 

Required Qualifications 

  • At least 5 years of Account Management experience in a technical field

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to converse with individuals at all levels of an organization

  • Ability to organize and lead meetings

  • ​​​​​​​Proven success in closing agreement renewals and project quotes

  • Strong presentation skills - from creation through delivery

  • Strong customer service acumen 

  • Strong, demonstrable written communication skills

  • Willingness to learn and lead in skills development 

Compensation is commensurate with experience. On the first day of employment, position is eligible for a benefits package including medical, prescription, dental and vision benefits, disability and basic life insurance.
