Network Engineer

Safari Solutions has an immediate need for a full time Network Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal  Network Engineer must have a balance between technical and consultative skills to work with our clients and internal teams.

Fundamentally, the Network Engineer ensures successful, best-in-class delivery of our turn-key solutions. The candidate should be highly organized and have exceptional time management skills while handling multiple projects. Overview of Work Responsibilities:

• Technical Support and Project Implementation
  • Provide escalation support of network infrastructure issues reported to the network group and follow up as needed.
  • Project implementation for higher end projects
  • Create high quality diagrams and network documentation for network design, implementation and support processes.
  • Support Safari Solutions internal IT infrastructure
  • Update, prepare and document standard operating procedures and policies
  • Interact with Service Desk, Project Management and Sales teams in an effective manner, providing input for ongoing enhancement

• Experience
  • At least 5 years’ experience with networks architectures and configurations/troubleshooting (routing, switching, etc.),
  • Extensive experience with routers, switches, and firewalls
  • 5+ years of experience in customer facing technology consulting with a proven track record of creating successful cloud solutions outcomes for clients using cutting edge technology
  • Service desk hands on experience
  • Experience at other VARs or MSPs
  • Knowledge of Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco solution set
  • Experience with network protocols such as TCP/IP, IPv6, WAN routing
  • Experience supporting enterprise wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, IP Telephony, VPNs, VMs, virtual networks, etc.
  • Experience with wireless/Wi-Fi/LTE on an enterprise/service provider level
  • Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
  • Outstanding documentation skills
  • CCNA is mandatory
