Conveyor Service Technician - level 2

Amazing direct hire opportunity for Conveyor Service Technicians!  Our client repairs, performs preventive maintenance, and services conveyor systems at various customer sites.  If you fit the requirements below and are interested in learning in learning and growing, this is the right opportunity for you! 

• PAY: $26 - $33 hourly depending on experience
• 40+ hours a week (overtime potential)

Job Description:

• Repair and adjust conveyor systems using hand tools and power tools
• Install belts in machinery, tighten bolts, adjust tension rolls, straighten parts, align rollers and replace defective parts
• Perform preventive maintenance and provide customer support
• Possess the ability to install, repair, service, test and troubleshoot an assortment of equipment
• Fill out detailed reports and keep records on services that have been performed
• Explain issues with equipment and repairs to customers and management, when necessary
• Build and maintain relationships with customers
• Basic electrical troubleshooting
• Be a Safety Champion – Will lead create and maintain a safe workspace

Requirements:

• Ability to work flexible hours and work around regular hours for emergency calls
• Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
• Ability to effectively manage time
• Mechanically able to hand all repairs/ have the skill set to find the solution (i.e read the equipment manuals)
• Knowledge in details all types of conveyors and associated components
• Skill set and knowledge to perform p.ms on all conveyor systems including sortation systems
• Have the ability to provide detail reports following repairs and pm's
• Certifications in all lift equipment
• Must be able to meet physical requirements of the job, which include bending, lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces
• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Fluent in English, Spanish language skills are a plus
