Job Description

1st shift, Industrial Maintenance Technician (PLC exp) $25/hr

  • Mechanical and electrical experience a must
  • Regularly scheduled overtime required (the majority of the plant works 10hr days Mon-Sat).
  • Salary based upon experience (with solid electrical and PLC exp starting pay is $25+).

Schedule: Hours are based on needs but currently the 1st shift hours is 5am to 3:30pm Mon-Fri & 5am to 1:30pm on Sat.

Pay: DOE

  • The Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely performing a wide range of electrical and mechanical duties for preventative and emergency repairs. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting. Experience will include equipment installation, optimization, trouble-shooting and repair.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must have solid electrical experience -- 230v 3 phase and 480v 3 phase
  • Perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures during production
  • May repair or produce parts using welders, drill presses, and other shop equipment
  • Assemble, install or repair electrical or electronic devices, pipe systems, machinery or equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical circuits using schematics, blueprints, and manuals
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Test all repairs and installations for correct functionality
  • Maintains and updates equipment records, schematics, blueprints and files.
  • Assure safe work practices, and company policies are adhered to at all times


  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of industrial mechanics including gears, belts, sheaves, bearings, couplings, and drive lines
  • Understanding of pneumatic, and hydraulic cylinders, valves, and solenoids
  • Knowledge of basic welding and fabrication
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Ability to perform tasks under varying conditions (i.e. dust, oil, grease, hot and humid conditions, noise)
  • Graduates of industrial, and/or electrical technology programs preferred
