Ragtag bunch of hooligans seeks an Art Director with mad design chops to develop integrated campaigns in the better-for-you foods space. About the job: Our growing marketing firm in Chicagos West Loop seeks to add another hooligan to our posse. As our agency continues to grow, we seek to add a strong Art Director to the team to conceptualize and execute strategic work for a range of clients. Our output spans the gauntlet from daily social posts, to packaging design, to high end photo and video shoots. This position will report to a Creative Director and work in tandem with other art directors, copywriters and designers on the team.

There will of course be guardrails and oversight, but you must be someone who is self-motivated and can handle a lot at once switching gears between tasks, teams and projects. You will lead the ideation and execution of creative branding from monthly social content to print materials, video graphics, high end branding, website wireframes and retail partnerships. Each day will be different and fast-paced. One moment you may be knee deep in Photoshop or Illustrator and the next moment youll be on set Art Directing a photoshoot.

You will also be responsible for ensuring your work aligns with overall brand strategy and goals. Requirements About You: * You are an art director with zero hubris, looking to feed off of collaborative energy. * You have a strong work ethic and work smart, not just hard you know how to prioritize a to-do list but youre not afraid to have fun too. * You are willing to wear many hats and be versatile in different roles. * You can roll up your sleeves and dive deep into the execution of work, while the next day contributing to high level campaign ideas. * You have an independent spirit. You have a point of view. You are not afraid of taking the lead and developing strategically sound ideas, but you are also happy to just follow the brief as its assigned when we say you gotta. * You are flexible and can adopt various client brand personalities and see ideas through different mediums. * You are an innovator a designer that challenges themselves and team with new trends, looks and ways of working more efficiently. Responsibilities: * Support the Creative Director and Strategy teams to produce excellent creative work that drives results based on client goals. * Leverage data and industry trends to inform creative ideas that are on strategy and drive results for our clients. * Understand and take into account our clients audience insights, product benefits, offers, KPIs, brand standards and production specifications. * Think strategically beyond the assignment at hand to incorporate platform idea pitches into our offering for clients. * Help lead the ideation and execution of photo and video shoots; be present for large scale shoots. * Participate in branding exercises including logos, colors, fonts, photography style, etc. Additional Qualifications: * A degree in art direction or graphic design * 3+ years creative agency experience conceptualizing and executing marketing campaigns * Experience and knowledge in the digital and social space required * Proficient use of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools required * Experience working on CPG and food brands big/small preferred * Must provide a link to your online portfolio for consideration looking for samples of design work and on-set art direction that demonstrate excellent aesthetic judgement * Must be located in the Chicago area * If you dont meet 100% of the qualifications outlined above, tell us why youd be a great fit for this role in your cover letter!
