POSITION SUMMARY:
The Operations Manager is responsible for operations and facility management. These duties include: coordinating activities of workers engaged in receiving, inspection, processing, transporting, stocking, order filling, shipping, cycle counting, and maintaining stock records. The Operations Manager works closely with other Operations Managers to ensure efficient and effective operations of the facility. The manager shall adhere to and support existing policies and procedures while making recommendations for improvements. The manager will be collaborating with the Program Manager to ensure that all customer contract requirements pertaining to operations are met or exceeded.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed partially in a controlled atmosphere. Some exposure to harsh conditions-such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures and weather-for moderate periods of time is possible. . The Operations Manager will be required to sit 40% of the work day and stand/walk 60% of the work day. The ability to lift and carry 50 pounds is required. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; talk and hear. All employees are required to follow safety standards, adhere to Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.

- Participate in and support the principles of Great Game of Business and Open Book Management
- Provide strong leadership for department and communicate a strategic vision for the department
- Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve organization's goals
- Build and develop strong relationships with internal and external customers
- Manage direct reports including employee selection, development, and disciplinary action
- Conduct employee performance evaluations to ensure a well-qualified and motivated workforce
- Manage time-keeping and track absenteeism
- Initiate and maintain proper and necessary safety controls to provide a safe working environment for all associates
- Review and enforce material tracking and quality control systems
- Manage warehousing and storage of all inventories
- Manage the delivery of materials and supplies to all departments upon schedule and/or request
- Ensure accuracy of all material movement documentation
- Manage processing of all receiving reports on all shipments received through the warehouse
- Maintain records of supplies and materials entering and leaving the warehouse
- Responsible for oversight of the training program for direct reports
- Follow approved work instructions

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma/GED with a proven track record of management effectiveness and successes
- PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, Supply Chain or related field
- PREFERRED: 5 years of experience in operations with exposure to supply chain or inventory management, with at least two years of experience as a supervisor
