Supplier Quality Engineer - Castings

What to expect:

Compensation Range: $50 - $60

This is a full-time project for 6 - 9 months working as a senior quality engineer in castings and machine aircraft parts. You will manage and deploy castings with supplier oversight and recovery services. Specifically, to provide support, guidance, and expertise for two critical casting suppliers to mitigate production line stops of the aircraft program.

Once on the team, you will be deployed through SQA’s operations center based on client need with a focus on the coordination of the supplier’s production schedule.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee supplier recovery plan of cast parts-forecast to impact two defense programs

• Assist in the interpretation and flow-down of our client's requirements

• Casting process or production walks to identify risk areas and improvement opportunities

• Identify alternative solutions to mitigate impacts

• Verification of witness build production

• Coordinate multi-functional engagement – including planning/forecast documents such as inch-stone, LOBs, etc.

• Enhance ability to achieve FTQ (First-time Quality)

• Develop and present project improvement plan, execute the approved plan

• Communicate status regularly to stakeholders

What you’ll need:

• 10+ years experience in aerospace manufacturing

• Castings and machine aircraft parts experience (required)

• Read and interpret Drawings and Blueprints

• Degree in relevant engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace engineering

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely

• Supplier portal experience preferred
