Responsibilities

• Supervises Finance Support Specialist.
• Coordinate and assist with month-end close process.
• Oversight of intercompany balancing.
• Oversight of accounts payable including review of bi-weekly check runs.
• Oversight of 1099 process.
• Review royalty calculations.
• Review sales tax filings.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings and financial reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and analysis processes.
• Expense control analysis.
• Property and casualty insurance claim submission and tracking.
• Coordinate physical inventory count.
• Daily cash monitoring.
• Special initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

• Bachelors degree in accounting.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Minimum seven years of experience with accounting, general ledger, US GAAP, and analysis.
• Two years experience managing direct reports.
• Thorough understanding of advanced accounting procedures and principles.
• Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Excel at an Intermediate level (to include V-Lookups, Pivot Tables and filtering).
• Analytically focused with sharp critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
