Sea Mar Community Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) founded in 1978, is a community-based organization committed to providing quality, comprehensive health, human, housing, educational and cultural services to diverse communities, specializing in service to Latinos in Washington State. Sea Mar's network of services includes more than 90 medical, dental, and behavioral health clinics and a wide variety of nutritional, social, and educational services. We are recruiting for the following position:



This is a full-time position for our Bellevue Medical Clinic. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for screening all non-insured patients for public health coverage eligibility and ensuring that customers newly assigned or wishing to obtain care at Sea Mar are accommodated. They provide public health coverage enrollment assistance, insurance education, and public health coverage case management. Under the direction of the Managed Care Regional Coordinator, they pro-actively contact customers, assist in the development and distribution of promotional material and engage in community outreach activities. Applicants must have good customer service, communication, interpersonal skills and maintain a high level of professionalism. In addition they must demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills. They must exercise good judgment, maintain strict confidentiality, and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Applicants will be required to complete a pre-hire competency test.



Qualifications and/or Education:





+ High School diploma or equivalent is required; AA or BA in Social Services is preferred.



+ Experience in social services, healthcare, case management or patient accounts is a plus.



+ Applicant must be able to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish both written and orally.



+ Computer skills are a must with emphasis on MS Excel and Word.



+ The ideal applicant must have their own transportation, a Washington State driver?s license and insurance.



+ Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. Other languages welcome!
