You.

You bring your body, mind, heart and spirit to your work as an educational Mental Health Worker.

Your compassion is tangible: patients feel it in the hand they hold. Families feel it in your thoughts and prayers. Colleagues feel it in your support.

You know when to move quickly. When to sit quietly. When to laugh loudly.

You know how to move fast. You know how to stay organized. You know how to have fun.

You're great at what you do, but you want to be part of something even greater. Because you believe that while individuals can be strong, the right team is invincible.

Us.

Mount Saint Vincent is the Rocky Mountain region's premier provider of mental health treatment, foster care services, K-8 education, and trauma-informed training - all focused on children and their families. We also operate a community early learning center that consistently earns a Colorado Shines four-star rating. Our innovative programs help children reach their full potential within their homes, schools and communities.

Benefits are one of the ways we encourage health for you and your family. Our generous package includes medical, dental and vision coverage. But health is more than a well-working body: it encompasses body, mind and social well-being. To that end, we've launched a Healthy Living program to address your holistic health. Healthy Living includes financial incentives, digital tools, tobacco cessation, classes, counseling and paid time off. We also offer financial wellness tools and retirement planning.

We.

Together we'll align mission and careers, values and workplace. We'll encourage joy and take pride in our integrity.

We'll laugh at each other's jokes (even the bad ones). We'll hello and high five. We'll celebrate milestones and acknowledge the value of spirituality in healing.

We're proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn.

Your day.

As a Mental Health Worker you need to know how to:

Assist with planning and instruction in all areas of the educational program, including: arts and academics, physical, affective and behavioral development.

Establish a safe and structured environment where each child can thrive.

Be responsible for the classroom program in the absence of the teacher.

Manage individual children and groups in the event of a crisis and provide direct, immediate and effective intervention with therapeutic follow-up.

Coordinate with treatment leaders, teachers and therapists regarding therapeutic and milieu planning and complete milieu reports in conjunction with teachers.

Keep up-to-date records (attendance, logging, progress) which are accurate and informative, and assist with evaluation of children's work.

Know and implement crisis prevention/intervention techniques (i.e. TCI, time-out, locked door quiet room) as well as procedures (i.e. runaway, injury, emergency).

Maintain current certifications (e.g., TCI, Lower levels, CPR, First Aid, AED, EVOLV and Universal Precautions) and trainings (e.g., NMT, Somatosensory).

Participate in Service Plan Quarterly Reviews and additional staffing related to children in their classroom.

Attend medication consults with the psychiatrist as needed.
