Purpose/Position Summary

The Brand Manager will manage the launch of products as well as manage the daily business activities of the assigned product line. The Brand Manager is instrumental in achieving the business team’s set targets within the budgeted marketing expenses and thus contributes significantly to the overall success of the company and the achievement of financial and business objectives. This is an exciting role for a Brand Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Research and gain consumer insights, and work with cross functional teams to develop and commercialize breakthrough, innovative products that feature clear unique selling propositions.
  • Define, develop, and implement the marketing plan providing a five-year strategic direction in order to set marketing, innovation, and business development strategies to address the short, mid and long term.
  • Create and launch advertising and promotional programs (e.g. branding, PR and communication initiatives) as part of the overall marketing plan.
  • Develop deep customer understanding and insights on business, including customer visits, store and consumer interaction.
  • Conduct Market and Consumer Research for assigned market segments and react to data, as part of the overall marketing plan.
  • Manage the portfolio by means of Portfolio Analysis; make recommendations on Life Cycle Management (LCM), Portfolio Consolidation / Rationalization / Optimization in order to enhance overall profitability and growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with Commercial Operations, Regional Sales, and National Account Teams to establish and maintain consistency between Portfolio & Brand Strategies, Marketing Plans and Commercial and Channel Strategies and support the sales activities.
  • Manage expenses and budgets assigned to the position and support the annual budgeting processes as well as other global or local projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field
  • MBA preferred

Work Experience/

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive experience in launching successful new products, and management of portfolio through LCM, Portfolio analyses and rationalization/optimization
  • 3-5 years marketing experience; consumer goods a plus
  • Interpersonal & leadership skills to ensure positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong financial skills paired with sound commercial understanding;
  • Excellent oral, written and network communication skills to effectively inform and influence sales and product management teams
  • Firm grasp of Excel, Power Point and Microsoft tools.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment

Travel Requirements

  • Periodic Business Travel for meetings.
