The Digital Marketing Specialist will work directly with the marketing team and leadership across the organization to plan and execute social media and email marketing strategies that will drive lead generation and ecommerce conversion. This role is responsible for understanding and analyzing the key drivers of our online business across digital channels, leveraging cross-channel data, customer behavior and promotional activity to continuously improve the online sales funnel.
A successful Digital Marketing Specialist will have experience with both earned + paid social media strategy and email marketing. The person in this position should have a keen eye for spotting and planning creative content, with a passion for analysis and optimization. This role will own cross-department relationships to drive decisions related to content strategy and development, promotional planning, data analysis and reporting, and channel best practices with the goal of identifying, recommending, and executing strategies to achieve business objectives.
Oversees all social and email content decisions by managing social and email promotional calendars and content-to-live strategy in coordination with Ecommerce Manager and marketing team.
Monitors and manages brand presence on social channels.
Builds strategy for brand, product and promotional launches across Digital Marketing channels and oversees execution through go-live.
Develops and deploys promotional and content campaigns via earned social channels.
Creates and deploys promotional emails and online newsletters and coordinates their distribution via EMP (Klaviyo).
Works with marketing and creative teams to develop creative cross-channel content marketing campaigns.
Works with Customer Service team to develop omnichannel customer service strategy.
Weekly reviews and reports on Digital Marketing KPIs and provides in-depth channel analysis, campaign performance, new growth opportunities, and cross-channel customer shopping behavior.
Performs daily campaign and channel management.
Ensures social and email experience drives omnichannel efforts by appropriately communicating key marketing and customer service messages and aligning with overall business strategy in-store.
Provides input to the Marketing Director on future initiative opportunities.
Stays current with social media, email marketing and ecommerce trends.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field OR equivalent experience in social media management/email marketing/digital marketing
1-3 years social media coordination/management
1-3 years email marketing
Demonstrable mastery of major social media platforms
Experience strategizing and implementing social media campaigns
Excellent writing skills
Knowledge of social media ad buying best practices preferred
HTML + CSS knowledge preferred
Fundamental understanding of SEO best practices
Experience or familiarity with the following platforms and technologies: Klaviyo, Hootsuite, BigCommerce, Google Analytics, Adobe Photoshop, social listening
