Substance Abuse Counselor:
Substance Counselor / Case Manager leads individuals and groups through the curriculum of the residential treatment program. The Counselor conducts assessments, develops social histories and tailors recovery plans to suit individuals within his caseload. During residential treatment he/she assures that program and personal goals are met. The position conducts group-counseling sessions, individual counseling sessions, keeps notes and observations for inclusion at case conferences. The counselor arranges for transportation, appointments, and reservations for outside activities and meetings:
Prefer state approved certification for alcohol/drug counseling, or combination of credentials and experience. Must be sensitive to the needs of recovering persons. Must be able to pass a live-scan background check. Must be eligible to work legally in the U.S. Must be will to adopt to hours change with one week notes, written by Director. All counseling staff must maintain good standing with their counseling certification/registration. Any counselor who allows his/her certification to expire will be suspended, without pay, until certification is valid. Employees must be willing to participate in continuing education to further professional development.

Salary: $18.00 to $22.00 /hour
