POSITION SUMMARY: This hands-on position will provide leadership and guidance regarding the maintenance function and activities and support the manufacturing process by troubleshooting and making repairs to electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems. Coordinate and schedule preventative maintenance. Answer calls on off-hours to support production schedules. Responsible for direct and/or indirect supervision of maintenance personnel for the Reno Facility.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time:
- Directs and coordinates, activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment.
- Reviews job orders to determine work priorities. Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
- Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
- Develops preventive & predictive maintenance programs in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.
- Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities. Maintains up to date training for all reports. Completes and reports out at monthly BOS Attends daily production meetings.
- Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
- Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
- Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.
- Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
- Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
- Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
- Ensure the proper use of MQ1 for all PM's and reactive work orders.
- Continuously improve equipment to reduce re-occurring downtime issues.
- Create and maintain PM work instructions.
- Answers calls off hours to support production schedules, supporting onsite maintenance personnel.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:
- Associates degree in Electrical Mechanical Technology or related state approved apprenticeship. Other technical degree may be considered.
- Six to eight years’ experience managing in an industrial maintenance environment.
- State Indentured Certificate as Journeyman / Master Electrician or other Maintenance skilled trade preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable of OSHA and state codes and regulations with regard to job assignments.
- Answer calls on off-hours to support production schedules.
- Be able to cope with the stress of troubleshooting and making repairs during production operation.
- Must be able to utilize and understand manufacturer maintenance manuals and prints both domestic and foreign.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to talk, walk, stand, sit, and bend in both an office and manufacturing environment. Must be able to visually decipher color.
