Home Equity Post Closer

This position will verify that all closed and funded loans contain all necessary documentation and meet all applicable documentation/delivery requirements.

The Home Equity Post Closer will ensure that all closed and funded loan files are received timely and fully executed. The Post Closer will also work to confirm all closing instructions were met successfully, while monitoring and coordinating the delivery of all trailing documentation.  The Home Equity Post Closer will perform quality control on closed files and ensure Deeds of Trust are sent for recordation in a timely manner, as well as ensure that loan documentation is scanned according to the documented processes.   This position is also responsible for the distribution and tracking of all incoming mail.

  • Review all closed/funded loans to ensure all closing instructions were completed 
  • Responsible for the retrieval of missing documentation discovered during loan review
  • Coordinate and track the delivery of trailing documentation
  • Complete all post-closing activities in DNA and iDentifi
  • Review all collateral documentation including but not limited to: Note, Mortgage/ Deed of Trust, CEMA documentation
  • Review all signed loan documents for compliance with Federal and State laws
  • Ensure that all closed loan packages meet the Credit Union standards for quality and accuracy
  • Review booked loans in DNA for quality and accuracy
  • Transfer imaged file to iDentifi database
  • Ensure all incoming mail is tracked and distributed in a timely manner
  • Work in collaboration and partnership with other team members
  • Additional projects and duties as assigned by Management


  • Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 1-2 years of lending experience preferred
  • Knowledge of recent RESPA, TILA and HMDA requirements is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service skills with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize workload based on department requirements and customer needs
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed
  • Ability to multi-task in other areas of the unit
  • Aptitude to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented
  • Ability to function in changing environment
