Job Description

Embracing a personal approach to insurance sales gives candidates a leg up in this role, which includes developing strategies for promoting all types of new insurance contracts; making changes or additions to existing ones; and collecting key client information for risk profiles used to identify insurance plans for each unique individual. $35,000 - $60,000 + at plan commission yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Implement sales strategies and tactics proven effective in maintaining and growing existing customer portfolios comprised of loyal, long-term clients
  • Remain updated on insurance industry changes and protocols to fulfill all policy requirements and monitor insurance claims from start to finish
  • Set meetings with new and potential clients to listen to their needs, taking into account their financial statuses and stage-of-life priorities, and present insurance plan options tailored to their individual circumstances
  • Create tailored risk management strategies directly with clients that align with their risk profiles
  • Keep bookkeeping systems, sales databases, customer records, and related organizational tools current to accurately report progress to monthly and quarterly sales quotas to stakeholders

  • Manage all marketing strategies and campaigns by working with existing and new Customers
  • Engage customers and prospects using marketing initiatives that support insurance sales and brand awareness
  • Use marketing strategies to build new clientele
  • Continued professional development and training
  • Meet weekly and monthly individual Sales goals as well as team goals

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent communication, customer service, analytical, and interpersonal skills are necessary
  • Working knowledge of the insurance industry, insurance products risk management profiles, and related state and federal regulations
  • Some computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Office is required
  • Some experience with accounting or sales lead software is beneficial

  • Sales Experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Obtain AL Property & Casualty Licensing
  • Obtain Life & Health Licensing       
  • No Prior Insurance Experience necessary
  • Develop a new clientele base
  • Project management, analytics, verbal/written communication skills, and superb organization experience is a must
  • Microsoft Office proficiency in Word and Excel and solid computer skills are required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional follow-up and organizational skills
