Job Description

The HR Assistant Temp will support the day-to-day operations of HR, with focus on talent acquisition coordination.  This individual will support the recruitment process, from opening requisitions through onboarding coordination.

The HR Assistant Temp will also be responsible for managing the front desk in our reception area and will establish a warm, welcoming and professional atmosphere, providing an excellent customer experience to all TCB Members, visitors, and employees from arrival to departure of our New York City office. They will be the first point of contact for visitors, making them feel comfortable, directing them to their appointments and meetings, and assisting them during their stay. 


HR Responsibilities:

  • Support all recruitment-related activities: job postings, ATS administration, interview coordination, reference checks, background checks, offer letter generation, and onboarding coordination
  • Track data and metrics for the recruitment process and maintain the recruitment tracker and reports
  • Coordination of various HR activities
  • Support additional projects and activities on the broader HR team as needed

Essential Functions:

The HR Assistant Temp will partner with the HR Generalist and recruitment team to support an efficient and targeted recruitment process aimed at attracting and selecting top talent for the organization.  The HR Assistant is also critical in creating an engaging guest experience, with responsibility for administrative/reception needs, including but not limited to registering and directing office guests, managing calls, calendar scheduling, expense reporting, preparing/sending documentation and communications, mail services, etc.

  • Exceptional customer service skills; comfortable meeting and engaging with new people
  • Maintaining a consistently professional approach, with a willingness to take ownership and responsibility both within and outside one’s job domain
  • Punctual, dependable and dedicated to achieving operational excellence, down to the smallest of details
  • Self-directed and intrinsically motivated
  • Ability to work flexible work schedules based on office needs

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in HR/Talent Acquisition; customer service/reception position within a corporate environment is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to an ever-changing work environment
