Job Description

Our Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for implementing, monitoring and evaluating our marketing and communications strategy to maximize the agency’s positive brand exposure in local and regional markets, develop new business opportunities for all departments within the agency and increase the success of the outside sales team. The Director of Marketing and Communications will maintain strong relationships with our Sales and Service team members and work closely with the management team to support client retention and new prospect opportunities. The Director will also develop and lead a Social Media Coordinator who will assist in the implementation of the marketing strategy. Quality of work must exemplify the best-in-class service standards established by us at all times.

Work Schedule & Classification: Full-time, salaried exempt position

Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Marketing & Communications Strategy

· Development and implementation of creative, innovative and measurable communications and marketing plans that encompass advertising, public relations, market research, digital/social media, and other aspects of strategic marketing

· Works closely with team to design and implement strategies that effectively message organizational and project specific goals

· Direct research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities in the market. Strategize and collaborate with sales and service teams to develop go to market strategies for existing products and services and effectively promote opportunities to prospects and clients

· Nurture leads and engage customers by directing the development and execution of a sound digital marketing strategy based on market and consumer research

 

Brand Management

· Ensure that brand identity, messaging, marketing and communications strategies are infused and consistent within all organizational efforts

· Develop, implement and evaluate marketing events and campaigns

 

Content Strategy and Management

· Oversee the development, design and maintenance of high quality print and electronic collateral

· Oversee maintenance of intranet and corporate website

· Lead strategy of engaging digital content for website, social media and email

 

Social Media Coordinator Development and Leadership

· Responsible for the management of employee through setting priorities, developing work plans and schedules, handling issues, recording time and attendance and approval of expense reports

· Set, track and monitor individual and team goals. Conduct effective performance reviews and monthly progress updates

 

Company

· Actively support company goals, vision and direction

· Contribute information and ideas during strategy meetings

· Participate in management and monthly company meetings

· Update management team on progress and results

· Perform all other duties or projects as assigned by management

 

Qualifications & Education:

· A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing or related is preferred

· Five or more years’ Marketing experience is preferred

· 3 - 5 Years supervisory experience is preferred

· Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar

· Experience with CRM and Marketing Automation tools

· Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

· Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines

· Effective project management and time management skills, especially when working with others

· Sound understanding of marketing principles

· Highly organized, professional, ethical and detail-oriented self–starter

· Ability to supervise and train employees, to include prioritizing and scheduling work assignments

· Ability to instruct and hold accountable staff members on information appropriate to their job responsibilities

· Ability to work in a team environment. Interact with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the company

· Exceptionally proactive concierge-level customer service mindset and skills with demonstrated problem resolution capability

· Professional appearance, demeanor and positive attitude

 

Physical Requirements: Must be capable of sitting for a long period of time, occasional walking and driving. No lifting required.
