Salary: $119,000-$135,000/year
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: 7am to 4pm OR 8am to 5pm

10% TARGETED ICP BONUS

Experience doing physical testing in accordance with standards such as ASTM.
Experience working with composites materials.
Strong analytical background.
Someone with a strong engineering background with hands on experience
Someone with full Mechanical Engineer / Civil Engineer / Materials Engineer and not Engineering Technology
Looking for a person who can leverage a strong technical background
Not focused on project management experience
Planning, initiating and timely completion of assigned projects related to product and process developments. Duties include the design of new products based on defined concepts and performance targets; review product deviations by Manufacturing; provide technical support to Marketing, Sales, customers, and/or distributors; supervise prototype building, qualification testing, and transferring of proven technologies to manufacturing.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise/assist product development engineers & technicians.
Responsible for design of new products based on defined concepts and performance targets.
Ensure that detailed engineering drawings of tooling and final products are produced & maintained.
Review, develop and approve testing plans for materials qualifications, failure assessment and new product developments.
Analyze product issues and failures with root cause analysis and come up with better and more innovative solutions
Review & approve product drawings and Job Order drawings.
Review & approve product literature changes. Create new literature as required.
Interface with internal & external parties, suppliers & customers as needed.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with international groups for solving manufacturing issues or the collaborative development of new products and processes.
Produce detailed technical reports and provide effective technical presentations.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and react quickly to changing priorities
Administer ECR/MOC process.
Write materials and process specifications and standards.
Generate and maintain professional test reports.
Initiate engineering changes to products and mechanical equipment as needed.
Produce manufacturing specifications which comply to performance requirements.
Provide technical support as directed.
Provide weekly & monthly updates to VP of Product Development & Operations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree or higher in Materials, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
7-10 years? experience working in the area of material science/engineering
Experience working with polymers and/or composite laminates preferred.

Troubleshooting
Quality Control Testing
Advising management on suitability, feasibility, profitability, environmental impact of material
Evaluating economic viability of material for commercial production
Self-starter, willing to accept initiative and able to work independently
Some Travel required
