A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A ONE-YEAR-OLD TEACHER
As a Rosewood Academy Preschool teacher, you come to work each day excited and ready to make a difference in children's lives. You use books, pictures and music instead of markers and projectors and happily conduct Baby Doll Circle Time. Additionally, you construct a creativity-driven classroom arrangement of playhouse furniture, stuffed animals and building blocks that is conducive to learning.
Along with your co-teacher and the school's full-time Director of Education, you develop weekly lesson plans to ignite the curiosity and growth of toddlers in your care. You track every child's growth through observations, portfolio documentation and developmental checklists. You share this information with parents and other staff members through the school's easy-to-use Tadpoles app.
At Rosewood Academy, you work with the child's family to help design appropriate learning expectations. You are enthused by new and innovative teaching concepts, techniques, and plans. The ability to engage toddlers and learn their personalities and share this with their parents is your second nature. You are paid to attend the school's unique "Rosewood University" trainings to stay up-to-date on the best education and communication methods for your students. While you have challenging moments, most of your time is spent having a lot of fun - and covered in hugs (you won't be sorry!). Since you love interacting with children, you can wholeheartedly say that you get paid to do what you love.
QUALIFICATIONS OF A LEAD ONE-YEAR-OLD TEACHER
- Ability to maintain proper certifications (with pay/reimbursement)
- High energy and a love of learning
- Proven experience teaching, following lesson plans and managing a classroom
- Candidates with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education, CDA and/or Florida Staff Credential preferred
Are you able to work well independently and as part of a team? Are you kind and empathetic? Do you have strong organizational and time management skills? Are you creative, patient, and encouraging? Are you detail-oriented? If so, you may be the perfect Lead One-Year-Old Teacher!
