Office/HR Manager 


The Office/HR Manager supports the HR and administrative functions at Roseshire with integrity and efficiency. This includes developing and maintaining all employee records (digital/paper files), job descriptions, annual reviews, and performance improvement plans, and office spaces and equipment. They will develop and maintain a welcoming office environment, and coordinate logistics for all benefits and company meetings.    

Office/HR Manager Essential Functions:

  1. Assist Warehouse Manager to maintain Osha safety standards and host monthly safety meetings 

  2. Maintain office supplies while staying within the monthly budget.

  3. Maintain the office technology systems, such as computers, phones, and internet

  4. Coordinate staff meeting logistics including catering, agendas, and minutes.  

  5. Update and get corporate minutes signed and placed into binder

  6. Responsible for overseeing the smooth running of HR and administrative tasks for the organization

  7. Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.

  8. Supports organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; and recommending changes.

  9. Implements employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; and designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs

  10. Retains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records. (ADP)

  11. Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings.

  12. Enforces management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.

Character Traits/Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of experience in progressively responsible human resource roles.

  2. 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role.

  3. Strong writing and editing skills, especially in correspondence - fast/efficient typing.

  4. You’re a technology wiz. When technology is unfamiliar, you’re adept at learning it.  

  5. Clear communicator, with the ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of people in correspondence, on the telephone, and in person.

  6. You’re an organized person; it’s in your blood.  

  7. You’re social: you like knowing who is where, when.

  8. Attention to detail and a passion for accuracy, especially errorfree data entry.

  9. You’re comfortable interpreting information for people of different perspectives and learning styles.  

  10. Your ideal role is part of a support team.  

  11. The ability to meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines consistently.

  12. A natural lean toward getting to know people and communicating with them.

  13. The ability to work with limited supervision successfully within a team.

  14. Experience in a start-up environment is a MUST.

Working Conditions, physical effort

This work requires only minor physical exertion and/or strain.  Work is often fastpaced, stressful, and requires managing multiple projects with deadlines. A willingness to work flexible hours is necessary. Some evening and weekend work will be required during heavy Holiday seasons.
