Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for ensuring an excellent customer experience by serving meals and beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic to guests visiting Rosa Ristorante by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Management reserves the right to change duties with or without notice.
§ Understands the culture within Rosa Ristorante.
§ Greets customers at the door and seat them within the rotational flow of the restaurant. Answer customer questions and take their order timeously and efficiently.
§ Know the menu, the food, and the multiple choice selections within the beverage choices, including how to sell and pair those items.
§ Inform all customers of specials, options, and seasonal menu information.
§ Required to work in sections, see customers immediately after seating and introduce the menu and beverage specials and take the order as it suits the customer.
§ Check back with their tables within five (5) minutes of them receiving their food to ensure optimum customer satisfaction, as well as, check the order in the kitchen to ensure all details are correct.
§ Enter the order into the point of sale system (POS) as soon as possible after taking the customer order.
§ Ensure the bar has received their drink tickets.
§ Come to work dressed in appropriate uniform, with their shirts, shoes, pants, or skirts both clean and ironed. Wear designated aprons that are clean and neat.
§ If there is an expediter on the line the server is to check back timeously to see when their food is ready, if there is not an expediter the server is required to use gloves and garnish their own food accordingly.
§ Place dirty dishes in the proper area, as trained, work with busser on fast, table clearing.
§ Speak with other servers regarding rotational flow and how to best ensure all the guests have the optimum dining experience at Rosa’s. Work as a team and run all food as soon as it is ready.
§ In charge of running their own food and to bus, clean, and sanitize tables for the next seating.
§ Always have hands full both entering and exiting the kitchen and are expected to bus all tables on the floor as needed.
§ Complete daily side work and sign it off accordingly, as well as, communicate their side work with each other including hourly restroom checks.
§ Notify all customers of the Rosa experience ensuring all customers have the option to be involved.
§ Shift changes must be communicated to management and/or each other with prior approval.
§ In the event of a health check, be prepared to assume responsibility until management arrives onsite.

QUALIFICATIONS:
§ Be a team player, self-starter, and self-motivated
§ Three (3) years minimum serving experience and/or have worked in a high-end restaurant front or back of house.
§ Required to keep current TAM card and HEALTH card, along with all other relevant documents according to Federal and State law.
§ Ability to work in a fast paced environment, while be personable, energetic, and handle pressure well.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively in front of groups of customers and/or with employees in the restaurant.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Point of Sale (POS) software systems, Internet Software; and Electronic Mail Software (emails).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, carry plates up to ten (10 pounds), reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand and walk for a period of an eight (8) hour shift. Vision abilities required, include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is often moderate, but can get loud.
