Rooftop Cinema Club started in 2011 as a single rooftop in London and expanded globally with 8 venues across the US and UK. We are looking to grow our presence in the US with 20 new venues projected over the next 3 years. Driven by our love of film, we are on a mission to transform nights at the cinema to stunning rooftop views, sunsets & starlit evenings, friends, loved ones, awesome drink & food and great movies on the big screen.

We are seeking a creative and commercially-focused director of marketing who will lead the marketing strategy for our growing company. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable working offline and online, shall have an innate understanding of the experience economy and will have a knack for disruptive ideas to drive the RCC brand forward. Responsibilities

  • Maximize ticket sales by leading a talented team of marketers who oversee digital marketing, social media, brand content, customer retention and customer support
  • Take ownership of the company’s marketing calendar to ensure all key dates are supported across relevant channels

  • Manage external PR agencies to secure coverage around special events/activations and launches as well as ensuring exhaustive coverage in local event listings

  • Create and execute an in-house influencer strategy that is scalable and measurable

  • Manage current partners and Identify/secure new partnerships with like-minded brands with the purpose of generating buzz, introducing RCC to new audiences and boosting ticket sales

  • Develop big ideas and spearhead creative onsite activations with the support of the operations team to enhance the customer experience at our venues and drive additional word of mouth

  • Lead the new venue launch strategy as we expand into new markets with the goal of building awareness, growing the local database and generating immediate demand upon launch

  • Manage and adhere to marketing budgets, ensuring there is a balance between upper and lower funnel activity to maximize return on investment

  • Pro-actively monitor competitive landscape, promotional trends and consumer behaviors, and apply to development of ideas

  • Collaborate closely with the programming team to provide the necessary support to the schedule, as well as providing programming suggestions that align with planned marketing activity

  • Coordinate with the sponsorships team to ensure there is alignment between paid partnerships and the marketing calendar

  • Communicate regularly with the UK marketing team to share ideas and borrow from each other’s best practice

  • Update and track towards the marketing team’s KPIs and objectives

  • Report on progress frequently to CEO/CFO

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 7-10 years experience in marketing and brand management

  • At least 4 years leading cross-functional marketing teams

  • Marketing experience in events and hospitality a plus

  • Drive for figuring out what makes consumers tick and engage

  • An obsession with creating impactful consumer-centric experiences –– you bring passion, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas

  • Firm grasp of digital marketing including relevant channels and essential metrics

  • Experience leveraging data and analytical insights to inform strategy and plans

  • Ability to analyze data on Excel/Sheets and build compelling presentations on Powerpoint/Slides

  • Ability to move quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment; high growth or early stage startup experience is welcome

  • A management style of mentoring, motivating and empowering direct reports and cross functional teams

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related business field

Compensation: In addition to your base salary we offer performance related bonuses, full healthcare, paid time off, and flexible working initiatives.

Your base will be in our office working alongside the entire company. The role may require some late nights and/or weekends to support our launch or any special events that require your attendance. You must be local to Los Angeles.
