Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install, configure, test, document, monitor, maintain and support desktops, mobile devices, operating system(s), tools and applications
  • Provide expertise for desktop and mobile device hardware, operating system and office suite including installation, configuration, documentation, training, maintenance, and operations
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot the following technologies:
    • Desktop Workstations
    • Mobile Devices and Workstations
    • Operating Systems (Windows 10, Sierra, High Sierra, Mojave)
    • Office Suites (Microsoft Office 2016 and O365)
    • Operating System Deployments
    • Anti-malware
    • Anti-virus
    • Printers
    • Network Accounts
    • Remote access services
  • Record and track all issues and problems in an IT Service Management tracking system
  • Dispense advanced technical support to the Service Desk, including troubleshooting user operating problems, application problems, system configuration issues and malfunctions, and network operating problems.
  • Implement standard configurations for all desktops and mobile devices
  • Maintain knowledge of desktop and mobile device configuration management including applications, operating systems and distribution methods that best utilize available network resources
  • Maintain systems documentation for desktops, mobile devices and their complex support systems (e.g., virus protection, software patching, etc.) including configuration, change and release management
  • Be accountable not only for direct responsibilities outlined in this job description but also to serve fellow staff and other constituents with whom position interacts. Ensure actions and communications follow core values.

REQUIRED CHARACTERISTICS

  • Ability to troubleshoot computer hardware, software systems and peripheral equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative work spirit.
  • Outstanding time and work management skills required.  Ability to multi-task and able to organize and maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential records.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills and ability to prioritize activities to meet deadlines.  Ability to apply best practices knowledge of accounting, administrative, Microsoft operations framework, and data management procedures and practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, databases and computer network environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Must be able to effectively interact with staff, vendors and other contacts.
  • Able to use computer equipment, read computer screens for extended periods of time
  • Work with clients via telephone for extended periods of time.  Handle service calls between remote areas and IT unit.
  • Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance

EXPERIENCE:

Two to four years of client end user support and staff training in a multi-unit organization
