Custodian at Ron Rosner Family YMCA

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Delivers excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants. Responsible for maintaining the thorough and timely cleanliness of the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.   Clean and sanitize sinks, toilets, showers, restrooms, locker rooms and other assigned areas of the facility.

2.   Clean and maintain floors, walls, windows and other surfaces.

3.   Empty all waste containers and dispose of trash.

4.   Refill soap, paper towel, toilet paper and other supplies. Notify manager when supply stocks are getting low.

5.   Report building and mechanical problems.

6.   Perform various duties such as dusting, vacuuming and maintaining offices and entrances.

7.   Perform sidewalk and outside cleanup.

8.   Able to operate motorized and non-motorized equipment.

9.   May set up and tear down tables and chairs for special events.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation depends on your experience.

About Ron Rosner Family YMCA: The Ron Rosner Family YMCA of Spotsylvania County is a branch of the Rappahannock Area YMCA. Thanks to the support from Spotsylvania County and our community, the Spotsylvania Family YMCA opened its doors on July 23, 2003 with a full facility: Gymnasium, pool, wellness/fitness center, aerobics/group fitness studio, spinning room, youth classrooms, Kidz Corner nursery, pavilion and playground “For All” which allows children of all abilities a place to play.
